Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions are effective immediately.
By scheduling any cleaning service with Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC, you agree to the following terms and authorize us to charge your payment method as described below.

1. Our Promise to You

At Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC, we take pride in delivering professional, reliable, and eco-conscious cleaning services to homes and short-term rentals across North Florida. We are a fully licensed and insured cleaning company committed to care, consistency, and the satisfaction of every client we serve.

If you are dissatisfied with any portion of your cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours. We will gladly return within 48 business hours to address the area in question. Please note: we do not offer refunds or monetary discounts in place of a re-cleaning. However, if we are at fault we are happy to work with you to correct any issue.

2. Preparing for Your Cleaning

To help us provide the best possible service, please:

  • Ensure access to your property.
    Provide a door code, lockbox, or key. A fee will apply if our team cannot access your home. (See Lockout Policy below.)

  • Disarm alarm systems.
    If you choose to leave your alarm armed, we will carefully follow your disarm/rearm instructions; however, Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC cannot be held responsible for false alarms, police or security fees, or system malfunctions.

  • Allow full access to your home.
    Our technicians follow a specific cleaning order to ensure efficiency. If you prefer a different order or require special instructions, please notify us in advance so we can adjust the schedule. Additional time required will be billed at our current hourly rate.

  • Have your home ready to be cleaned.
    Please pick up items, toys, laundry, or clutter prior to our arrival. If additional time is required to prepare the space, hourly charges may apply.

Safety Policy

Our staff may not clean homes with unsafe conditions, including bug infestations, human or animal waste, bodily fluids, or hazardous environments.
If we are unable to complete the cleaning due to such conditions, you will still be responsible for the full service fee.

3. Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Lockout Policy

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel any appointment.

  • Late cancellations (less than 48 hours’ notice) will incur a 50% cancellation fee unless the cleaning is rescheduled within one week.

  • Lockouts or same-day cancellations will be charged 100% of the scheduled service fee.

We understand that emergencies happen and will review each situation on a case-by-case basis.
Frequent last-minute cancellations may result in loss of recurring service priority.

Our standard cleaning hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If our staff is sent away or locked out during these hours or during the hours of scheduled service, the lockout fee applies.

Company-initiated schedule changes due to weather, holidays, or unforeseen events will be rescheduled as close to your regular cleaning date as possible.

4. Breakage and Damage Policy

Our cleaners take great care in your home; however, accidents can happen.

If damage or breakage occurs:

  • It must be reported within 2 business days of the service.

  • Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC will assess and, if appropriate, repair or replace the item. Identical replacement is not guaranteed.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from:

  • Faulty installation, improper maintenance, or normal wear and tear.

  • Customer-supplied equipment or products.

  • Pre-existing structural or cosmetic issues.

Clients who request cleaning of delicate items such as china, collectibles, or antiques do so at their own risk and agree to release Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC and its employees from liability.

5. Rates and Service Adjustments

Rates are based on the size, condition, and layout of your home.
If your home requires more time or effort than estimated, additional charges may apply.
We reserve the right to reevaluate rates as needed to reflect accurate service time and labor.

6. Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time of service.
We accept payment via Jobber, our secure third-party processor, as well as cash, check, or major credit cards.

Late or Returned Payments

  • Returned checks are subject to a $75 fee.

  • Declined cards or unpaid balances will incur a $25 or 15% interest charge (whichever is greater).

  • Past-due balances may result in service suspension.

Verbal agreement or scheduling of service constitutes acceptance of these Terms and authorization to charge your payment method.

7. Social Media and Photo Release

We occasionally take before-and-after photos of cleaning areas for training, proof of performance, and promotional purposes.

By scheduling a cleaning service, you grant Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC permission to take and use such images excluding any identifiable personal items or family members.
If you prefer not to have photos taken, please notify us prior to your scheduled cleaning.

Images may be used on our website or social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to highlight our work.

8. Non-Solicitation Agreement

When you hire Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC, you agree not to solicit or hire our employees directly for personal cleaning or home-related services outside of our company.

If you wish to employ a team member independently, please contact us to discuss this arrangement.
Hiring or soliciting an employee directly without our consent will result in a $4,000 referral and training fee per employee.

We invest significant time and resources in recruiting, screening, and training our cleaners — they are our most valuable asset.

9. Liability and Indemnification

By scheduling services with Donna Jean’s Cleaning LLC, you agree to hold harmless and release the company, its owners, and employees from any and all liability for damages or losses not caused by negligence. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages related to our services.

10. Policy Revisions

These Terms of Service may be updated periodically.
Any updates will be posted on our website with a new “Last Updated” date.
Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
